Manuscript Submission Instructions
In the rapidly evolving educational landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept but a present force reshaping how we teach, learn, assess, and interact. This special issue invites educators, researchers, technology developers, and policymakers to explore the multifaceted impact of AI in education — from personalized learning environments and automated assessment tools to intelligent tutoring systems and ethical considerations.
We aim to bring together diverse perspectives that critically examine how AI technologies are redefining the boundaries of learning and transforming the roles of teachers and students alike. What does it mean to teach in an AI-augmented classroom? How can we ensure equitable and ethical integration of AI tools in education? What competencies must learners develop to thrive in AI-influenced futures?
This special issue seeks to bring together both theoretical and empirical research that examines how AI technologies are shaping the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning experiences across diverse educational contexts. By bringing together diverse perspectives, this issue aims to offer valuable insights for educators, researchers, and policymakers engaged in shaping the future of AI in education.
We welcome empirical research, theoretical explorations, case studies, conceptual frameworks, and reflective practice papers that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- AI-powered personalization in teaching and learning
- The evolving role of the teacher in AI-enhanced classrooms
- Student agency and self-regulated learning with AI support
- Equity, accessibility, and ethical concerns in AI-based education
- Data privacy, algorithmic bias, and governance in educational AI tools
- AI in formative and summative assessment
- Human-AI collaboration in education
- Preparing students for an AI-shaped workforce
- Case studies of AI implementation in schools or higher education
- Cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives on AI in education
